ABOUT US

SISTALLECT, INC.

Sistallect, Inc. has a simple purpose --- to empower women of color, particularly Black Women, in a meaningful way! Our mission is to improve the lives of women and girls by developing programs and projects that will build, elevate and promote our intelligence and positive image.

Our signature initiative is the State of Black Women in California, which is a annual report that focuses on the current quality of life status for Black Women and Girls. The report develops a strategic policy platform and action plan to serve as a road map for policy makers, advocates, community based organizations and funders.

In addition, Sistallect, Inc. partners with organizations to build communities that are marginalized and economically disadvantaged. These efforts are designed in a collaborative manner to extend Sistallect's reach and our impact.

Sistallect, Inc. & Greater Sac Urban League Host Community Conversation with Cedric the Entertainer

The Build.Black. Coalition continues to host events with the communities throughout Sacramento to discuss the issues that youth and young adults face including police brutality. In partnership with Sistallect, Inc. and Greater Sacramento Urban League, award-winning actors, comedians Cedric the Entertainer and George Lopez lend their voice to the conversation during a community conversation with 18-25 year olds at Greater Sacramento Urban League, 3725 Marysville Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95838, on Friday, April 27 at 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. More than 200 African American and Latino young adults are expected to be in attendance along with community leaders and elected officials to this invitation only event. As a response to the killing of Stephon Clark, an unarmed young, African American man, the Build.Black. Coalition has been working to create a safe space to support youth and young adults as they express their issues and concerns. Founding members of this collaborative effort, Sistallect, Inc. and Greater Sacramento Urban League wanted to expand the effort to the Del Paso Height community. This event is designed to be an open dialogue with the attendees, Cedric the Entertainer and community leaders. Councilmember Allan Warren and Councilmember Rick Jennings are also attending this event.

Sistallect, Inc. Launches #BlackWomenGive

Sistallect, Inc. launches a digital giving circle platform #BlackWomenGive. Black women across the country are joining together to create a virtually donation pool to establish a Giving Circle to impact true and meaningful change particularly for Black women and girls. As part of this coalition of Black Women, we want to target organizations that directly provide needed support.

Our sister circle of giving will employ our social economic power to give to organizations. Our Call to Action is to have Black women donate directly to selected organizations based on the giving campaign in order to provide immediate and real time support. We are also encouraging our sister friends to post this initiative on their social media channels and share with their networks and with the hashtag  #BlackWomenGive. We want to see this go viral with all the Black women sororities, service organizations, leaders and officials to join in on the campaign.
